How long does a gal have to wait for her forever family? RUBY, about 3 years old, was one of many dogs that FLRRR rescued from deplorable conditions in north Florida. Ruby and several others found their way to the rescue to be adopted. RUBY was used for breeding and her front teeth were either filed down or she wore them down trying to get away from her horrible environment. RUBY found temporary “happiness” when she was adopted in December by someone who fell in love with her. It became apparent she did not like all the dogs in their mobile home community walking past her property. After a month or two RUBY had to be surrendered back to the rescue because she did not like small dogs, actually no dogs at all. It was a very sad day when RUBY was returned, but we will not give up on finding her a more perfect home. Ruby needs to be the only dog in the home and it would be best if she didn’t have direct contact with other dogs. Quiet surroundings and a fenced yard with solid fencing would be recommended. We believe that the life she had before being rescued now has her defending herself against all dogs that she encounters. Very sad, but RUBY is a sweet girl and in the right home she would thrive well being the center of a humans attention. Let’s get RUBY a home and give her sweet dreams of the way her life should be.
